Full Time Police Officer Dispatch Opening
FULL-TIME DISPATCHER NEEDED
The Fort Kent Police Department has an opening for a full-time dispatcher. This position is a 3-11 shift position of 40hrs per week with benefits.
Primary duties will include operation of 911 dispatch for fire, police and ambulance emergencies.
Secondary duties will include but are not limited to sales of hunting/fishing licenses, snowmobile registrations, clerical duties, cleaning.
This position entails weekend/holiday work. Interested applicants should have a minimum of High School diploma or equivalent training experience. This person must also possess good communication skills, computer knowledge and be able to work in a fast pace environment.
Applicants must be willing to go to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy for a full week of dispatcher training, within the first six months of employment.
Candidate must have no criminal record. A background check will be administered.
